Natural Bed and Breakfast Arizona
by L. Marc Haberman
I was born and raised on a farm in Windom, Minnesota. Growing up close to the
changing seasons gave me a well-grounded perspective on life. A European tour
of duty in the U.S. Air Force helped me appreciate the diversity of other cultures
and added a European perspective to my life. In 1976, I received my B.A. degree
from San Francisco State University in Creative Arts, and in 1996 received an
A.A. degree in Commercial Art from the Tucson Art Center. I have been a holistic
health practitioner for 18 years. I am an accomplished artist, writer, designer,
and photographer. I speak German, Spanish, and Greek. I am an adjunct faculty
member of Pima Community College. In my leisure time, I enjoy hiking the Southwest,
science fiction films, flying small aircraft, travel, and photography. The Natural
Bed & Breakfast grounds include my massage office and art studio. My grandmother
came from Greece in 1910 and passed the tradition of hospitality to me. Soon after
coming to America, Grandma Mangus made the journey to Utah where she ran a boarding
house and cooked for around 30 coal miners each day. About 15 years ago, I rented
out a room in my townhouse through a Bed & Breakfast agency. I liked the idea
and fondly remembered Grandma Mangus. I purchased a multi-bedroom home and went
to work. That was nine years ago. In that time, Iâve integrated my work
as a professional Muscular Therapist, Holistic Health Practitioner, Nutritionist,
and Feng Shui practitioner into the tradition of Greek hospitality that Grandma
Mangus passed on to me. That is how Natural Bed & Breakfast came to be.
